About me
Leaving art school with a degree in painting and printmaking, I knew I wasn't yet ready to be a full-time artist. The corporate world of Marketing and Design Management beckoned, but I hoped that I would one day find myself living somewhere beautiful, inspired to return to the world of art.
Having travelled all over the world, I'm now lucky enough to paint in the UK and my studio outside the stunning Andalucian white village of Casares, where I am inspired by the rugged beauty of the landscape and the intensity of the light.
I'm interested in working with surface texture, veils of colour and the contrast of subtlety and strength. My work on canvas is largely abstract or loosely representational whilst my watercolours are more realistic in style, but whatever the medium it is always clearly rooted in the beauty I see around me.
Over the past 10 years, my paintings have gone to new homes in all four corners of the globe, featuring in both corporate and personal collections.
